Bryon’s Bash

On Saturday past we had the launch of #Byron’s Bash, a day of celebration for the 200 years from the death of Lord Byron. This was part of #Byron200, a year long activities and exhibitions in celebration of Lord Byron’s life launched by our museums service and funded by Arts Council for the bicentenary from Lord Byron’s death in Mesolonghi in Greece.

The activities are intended for all ages and are the product of collaboration with a number of local and international partners including the University of Nottingham, NTU, the Lace Market theatre, UNESCO city of Literature as well as Vyronas Municipality in Greece (2021 Vyronas Nottingham friendship agreement) and the Athens based Philhellenism museum.
